Small Grants for Equipment Announced

The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that it will hold a once off round of small grants for equipment in early 2013. Equipment is generally not currently funded as part of The Foundation’s small grants schemes. In recognition of the fact that community and voluntary groups have a need for new equipment, The Foundation will hold one round of grants which will consider equipment only.

The average grant will be €1,000 and the maximum grant will be €2,000.

Groups can apply for a grant for:

Small equipment for use by service users, such as educational toys, games and resources

  • Equipment for use by active age groups engaging in physical and social activities
  • Materials for therapeutic activities
  • Equipment which will help establish a service, E.g. setting up care and repair programmes, men’s sheds, community playgroups and other services

The Closing date for applications will be 31st January 2013.

What equipment will you be applying for? And what difference will it make to your group? We’d love to know.
